The Adisumarmo International Airport ( Bandara Internasional Indonesian Adisumarmo, IATA: SOC, ICAO: warq ) is the airport of the Indonesian city of Surakarta ( Solo) in Central Java ( island). The airport is also known under the term airport Solo ( solo = sl for Surakarta ).

Until the modernization and expansion of the airport of Yogyakarta, he was the only international airport in Central Java and took almost the whole tourist traffic for this region.

Although now more and more airlines fly to Yogyakarta airport, continue to serve some foreign airlines Surakarta, such as Silk Air and the Malaysian budget airline Air Asia.

The airport is an important base of the Indonesian military.

In early 2007, there are two platforms ( Military / Civil Aviation ) in operation. The small building for the handling of passengers is located south of the runway. North of the start and runway, a new passenger terminal will be built together with the run-up (July 2008), which will be equipped with two passenger boarding bridges.

There is no taxiway parallel to the runway. Therefore, should never two aircraft are the same on the only airstrip - thus the ground movements of aircraft must be coordinated accordingly.
