Adjoa Bayor

Adjoa Bayor ( born May 17, 1979 in Accra, Ghana ) is a Ghanaian former footballer.

Career

Before she signed in Jena, she had played for Ghatel Ladies in Accra, Ghana, and in the season 2006/ 07 in the U.S. for FC Indiana and was in the soccer team at Robert Morris College. On 21 January 2009 she signed a half year contract with the FF USV Jena, ie until 30 June 2009. On 11 June 2009 they extended their contract until 30 June 2011. In October 2010, she was suspended and was just the squad the wife Regional teams for which she completed two games. After two years in Germany with the FF USV Jena she signed in February 2011 a contract with FC Indiana, but moved until the expiry of her contract on June 30 in the United States. She returned with it after three years returned to their former club. In November 2011, she ended her active career and returned to Accra.

Internationally

Bajor was long captain of the Ghanaian national football team of the women and was last in the All- Star team of the Africa Championship 2008. Was one of the player from the World Selection -Star team that played against the Chinese national football team of women. In September 2007, she served as team captain of the Black Queens at the World Cup of women in China. Ghana came through the first round does not exceed failed clear, they scored a free kick goal against Norway, just before the 16- meter line. Was voted in 2003 by the CAF African Footballer of the Year, 2004 and 2006, she was just second in the election. Since January 3, 2012 she is Chairman of the Organising Committee of CAF Association for the U-17 World Cup of women.
