Adrian Bakalli

Adrian Bakalli ( born November 22, 1976 in Brussels ) is a retired Belgian footballer. The midfielder completed the age of 22 two appearances for Watford FC in the English Premier League, but soon disappeared in the Belgian amateur football.

Career

Bakalli played for several years at the Belgian professional club RWD Molenbeek before he was transferred for a fee of £ 100,000 in the second-rate English Football League First Division for FC Watford in January 1999. There, the midfielder came largely in the reserve team used after the rise in 1999 in the Premier League he moved for a short time as a substitute repeatedly in the Matchday squad and came August 30, 1999 against Leicester City on his Premier League debut. After a further commitment to the professional team in November against Newcastle United, he returned permanently back to the reserve team. After an unsuccessful trial with Belgian club Lierse SK in October 2000, his contract was finally resolved at Watford in early December 2000.

Bakalli graduated in consequence more tryouts, including at Reading FC and Luton Town before he was taken on 23 March 2001 with the closure of the transfer window from the third division Swindon Town until the end of season under contract. At his only duty stake for Swindon came Bakalli on 5 May, the final day of the season. He stood in the starting line-up against Stoke City and was replaced at half-time of 0:4. His contract at Swindon was not renewed at the end of the season and Bakalli returned in the summer of 2001 to Belgium, where he in the following years, mostly in amateur football, for RWD Molenbeek, KFC Strombeek, KV Kortrijk, K. Berchem Sport, KSV Bornem, KFC Rhodienne - Verrewinkel, KSKL Ternat, Maccabi Brussels and Evere RFC was active.
