Adrian Johns

Vice Admiral Sir Adrian James Johns KCB CBE ADC KstJ (* 1951 in Redruth ) is a British officer and was from 2009 to 2013 Governor of Gibraltar ( Governor and Commander -in- Chief of Gibraltar). He is a graduate of Imperial College London (Physics).

Uses in the Marine

John joined the Royal Navy in 1973, where he worked among others as a helicopter pilot in the 824 Naval Air Squadron and in the floating units HMS Ocean, HMS Campbeltown, HMS Ariadne, HMS Juno. From 2003 to 2005 he was Assistant Chief of the Naval Staff; 2005 to 2008 he was Chief of Naval Personnel & Training and Zweiter_Seelord in personal union.

Governor of Gibraltar

Johns resigned in October 2009, the successor of Sir Robert Fulton as Governor of Gibraltar. He was replaced in December 2013 by James Dutton.
