Advanced Info Service Public Company Limited (AIS ), with nearly 29 million customers, the largest mobile operator in Thailand.

AIS was founded on 24 April 1986 by Thaksin Shinawatra as a leasing company for computers. In October 1990, the Company introduced the 900 MHz cellular service, it was given for 20 years as a monopoly concession from the Telephone Organization of Thailand ( TOT). Since 1991, AIS is listed on the Stock Exchange of Thailand in the SET Index ( SET: ADVANC ). In June 1992, AIS bought the company Shinawatra Paging. From 2002 to 2006 AIS was led by the Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra later.

AIS is part of the Shin Corporation ( since 2011 INTOUCH ) and has been operational since the spring of 2006 by the company Temasek Holdings of Singapore, where Singapore Communications holds a stake of 19.5%.
