Aero-Club der Schweiz

The Aero Club of Switzerland (short AeCS ) is the umbrella organization of the Swiss air sports and general aviation.

He, covering motor flight and gliding, model airplanes, hot air ballooning, parachuting and micro-light aircraft, helicopters and experimental aviation.

From the covenant he is responsible for the administrative management, organization and promotion of pilot Vorschulung ( FVS / New Name: SPHAIR ) commissioned.

The AeCS leads currently (2013 ) almost 24,000 active members, which are divided into eight divisions and 40 regional associations and organized into over 350 local clubs, associations and groups.

The AeCS as a sport federation member of the Fédération Aéronautique Internationale (FAI ) and exercise the sport sovereignty over all air sports in Switzerland.

In the Central Management Board currently accept the following persons a seat: Thomas Hurter ( Central President ), Yves Burkhardt ( Secretary General), Jürg Wyss ( communication ), Christopher Nicca (Engine Air Sports Federation ), Xavier Maeder (Gliding Association ), Peter Germann (Model Flying Association ), Jürg U. Schaeffler ( balloon Association ), René van den Berg ( parachute Association ), Marco Riva (Helicopter Association ), Philip Baertschi ( right ), Werner Maag (experimental EAS ), Anton Landolt ( Microlight ), Bruno Scherrer (Regional delegate Eastern Switzerland ), Patrick Schelling (Regional delegate West Switzerland ) René Notter (Regional delegate Central Switzerland ), Hans peace ( Regional delegate Zurich Aargau ), Remo Stebler (Regional delegate Basel -Bern ) and Bruno Rezzonico (Regional delegate southern Switzerland).
