AFC U-19 Championship

The U-19 Asian Cup (English AFC U -19 Championship ) is a football competition between the best Asian teams for male soccer players under 19 years. Is organized the championship of the Asian Football Confederation ( AFC). For the first time the tournament was played in 1959. Since 1986, the tournament takes place every two years. The competition also serves as the Asian qualifier for the Junior (U -20) World Cup.

(ASEAN, East Asia and West Asia, and South and Central Asia ) Currently qualify in divided along regional lines groups of 16 teams for the finals, which are first divided into four groups. The determined in a simple league system group winners and runners- up qualify for the quarter-finals will be played in the knockout system from the next. This is followed by semi-finals, third-place match and the final.
