Agmatidin (C or agm2C ) is a rare nucleoside and occurs mainly in the tRNA. It consists of the β -D - ribofuranose (sugar) and a derivative of cytosine, wherein the carbonyl group has been replaced by agmatine. This substitution pattern is similar to that of the nucleoside lysidine.
