Agnellus of Pisa

Agnellus of Pisa, was a blessed Franciscan (* 1194 in Pisa † March 13, 1232 ), Oxford (?). His feast is on May 13.

Life

1217 sent him St. Francis to France. There he worked as a curator of Paris. To establish a province of the order in England, he went there in 1224. He founded new convents in Oxford and London. He won by Robert of Grosseteste an important teacher of the house of studies in Oxford. The royal family was very weighed him. In 1892 was made by Leo XIII. the confirmation of his cult.
