The Ahrensberg is an approximately 575 m above sea level. NN high foothills of the Western High Grass in High hawk forest in the district of Kassel, North Hesse ( Germany ).

Geographical location

The Ahrensberg, which is part of the High Habicht Habicht forests forest in mountains, lies the nature park Hawk Forest. He belongs to territorially located in the Kassel district municipality Hawk Forest and is located 2.75 km south-east of Ehlen (part of Hawk Forest ), about 2.5 km north of Hoof (part of Schauenburg ) or about 1.1 km to the west of the High grass ( depending on distances in a straight line ); is the Uhlenstein between the Ahrensberg and the high grass.

On and around the wooded Ahrensberg is a part of the former site training area Ehlen, among others, with shooting range.

Watershed

About the hilltop of Ahrens Berg runs a portion of the Diemel Fulda watershed, which is a part of quite elongated Diemel-Eder/Fulda/Weser-Wasserscheide: The water of all the streams that flow from the Ahrensberg in western directions reached, sooner or later the Warm the Diemel and then the Weser; the counter reaches the Bauna that flows from Ahrensberg in predominantly south-easterly direction, the Fulda and then the Weser.
