Aida Turturro

Aida Turturro ( born September 25, 1962 in New York City ) is an American actress.

Life and achievements

Turturro graduated in 1984 theater arts at the State University of New York. She debuted on the side of Annabella Sciorra in the comedy True Love from the year 1989. Situated in the romantic comedy Love Crash ( 1992) she played a larger role at the side of Jami Gertz and Dylan McDermott. In the comedy Romance & Cigarettes (2005) by John Turturro, she performed alongside James Gandolfini, Susan Sarandon and Kate Winslet.

Turturro played in the years 2000 to 2006 in the television series The Sopranos, the role of Janice Soprano. For this role she was nominated in 2001 for an Emmy Award. As a member of the actor ensemble, she was nominated in 2001, 2002, 2003 and 2005, for a Screen Actors Guild Award.
