Ainsley Bennett

Ainsley Bennett ( born July 22, 1954) is a former British sprinter of Jamaican origin.

At the Olympic Games in Montreal in 1976 it reached about 200 m the semi-finals and was eliminated with the British team in the 4 x 400 - meter relay in the run- off.

In the Universiade 1979 he won bronze over 100 m and 200 m.

In 1983, he won the 400m silver at the IAAF European Indoor Championships in Budapest and with the British team in the cast Bennett, Garry Cook, Todd Bennett and Philip Brown bronze in the 4 x 400 meters relay at the IAAF World Championships in Helsinki.

Ainsley Bennett started for Birchfield Harriers.
