Air Supply

Air Supply is an Australian pop band.

History

The two main members Russell Hitchcock ( born June 15, 1949 in Melbourne, Australia), and Graham Russell ( born June 1, 1950 in Nottingham, United Kingdom ) played in a production of the musical Jesus Christ Superstar with and published in 1976 in Australia their first single. The success began when they performed the opening act for Rod Stewart in 1977. From 1980 to 1986 she achieved in the U.S. alone more than ten hits, including three million seller. One of the songs was written by Jim Steinman in its typical sound and produced.

1988 separated the singer. The two band members were reunited in 1991 and released the album The Earth Is the band still exists today and is constantly releasing new albums, but could not able to return to the successes of the early 80s.

2013 were included in the ARIA Hall of Fame Air Supply.
