The Ajinomoto Stadium (Japanese味の素 スタジアム, Ajinomoto Sutajiamu; formerly Tokyo Stadium ), is a competition site in Japanese Chofu, Tokyo Prefecture.
Operators of the stadium is the K. K. Tōkyō Stadium (株式会社 東京 スタジアム; kabushiki - gaisha Tōkyō Sutajiamu ), which is 36.3 % owned by the Tokyo Prefecture.
History
Opened in March 2001, the stadium has 49 970 covered seats (lower with VIP seats: 29,370 seats, Upper Rank: 20,600 seats) and is the home stadium of the football clubs Tokyo FC Tokyo and Tokyo Verdy. Since 1 March 2003, the stadium is named after the sponsor, the food manufacturer Ajinomoto, named. In addition to sports, see the stadium, other events such as Concerts and flea markets instead.
