Akola ( Marathi: अकोला, Akola ) is a city in the Indian state of Maharashtra with a population of about 430,000 ( 2011 census ). It is the administrative seat of the district of Akola and is located about 600 kilometers east of Mumbai and 250 km west of Nagpur.
Infrastructure
There is a rail link to the east, this is divided into direction Nagpur and towards Warangal and a rail link to the west, the direction Nashik leads. In addition, a trunk road passes through the town, which leads to the east to Nagpur and splits in the west in the direction of Malegaon and Indore.
