Aksana Miankova

Aksana Mjankowa (White Russian Аксана Мянькова, English transcription Aksana Miankova, . Born March 28, 1982 in Krytschau ) is a Belarusian hammer thrower and Olympic gold medalist.

At the European Athletics Championships in Munich in 2002 and the World Athletics Championships 2003 in Paris / Saint- Denis, they failed to qualify. In the 2006 season they increased their personal best by more than six and a half meters on the Belarusian record of 76.86 meters.

On June 29, 2008, they improved this in Minsk at 77.32 m. Shortly thereafter, she won the gold medal with 76.34 meters before Yipsi Moreno ( CUB) and Zhang Wenxiu (CHN ) at the Beijing Olympics.

Aksana Mjankowa is 1,86 m tall and weighs 85 kg.
