Al Alleborn

Carl " Al " Alleborn ( born February 12, 1892 in Kansas City, Missouri, † June 14, 1968 in Hollywood, California ) was an American assistant director, who was nominated for the Academy Awards in 1934 for an Oscar for best assistant director.

Biography

Alleborn began as a stuntman in the film industry in Hollywood, before he was at Showgirl in Hollywood Regieaasistent 1930 and later worked as a production manager. During his work in the film he was involved in the production of more than 40 films.

At the Academy Awards in 1934, he was nominated for an Oscar for best assistant director and had worked up to that point at seven film productions in this function.

Well-known films where he worked as a production manager, were father conducted (1938 ), The Maltese Falcon (1941 ) Dive Bomber ( 1941), Casablanca (1942 ) and My Dream you are (194 ). He collaborated with film directors like Michael Curtiz and John Huston.
