Ala-Kitka

The Ala- Kitka is a lake in the Finnish countryside Nordoesterbotten.

The 48.5 km ² lake is situated at an altitude of 240.4 m and is located in the municipality of Kuusamo. Together with the southern Yli- Kitka it forms the lake system Kitkajärvi. About the Sound Kilkilösalmi the Ala- Kitka receives the waters of the Yli- Kitka. On the north bank of the Ala- Kitka the Kitkajoki leaves the lake.
