Alamo Lake State Park

The Alamo Lake is a reservoir in Mohave County and La Paz County in the U.S. state of Arizona. The dam was built in 1968, impounds Bill Williams River.

The lake is located in Alamo Lake State Park and offers a wealth of recreational and sightseeing opportunities, however, is more of an insider because of its remote location. The park and the lake can be reached 93 only on gravel roads, either from U.S. Highway 60 or U.S. Highway from.

Of fish here, especially perch are fished, in the spring, the rains make in the otherwise parched landscape around the lake - which is dominated by cacti - for explosive bud growth. The fauna is here with many - represented species, such as eagles, waterfowl, foxes, coyotes and mules - some of them rare.

Heavy rains often lead to a rapid rise in water level; so even an increase of over three meters was observed in one night.
