Alamo Rent A Car is one since the 1970s, at that time mainly in Florida, -working American car rental company with headquarters in Tulsa, Oklahoma. It all started with four branches in Florida. The concept of being able to drive this far without having to pay extra per mile was the idea of the Alamo, which was particularly well with families and leisure vacationers.

Alamo operates offices in Africa, Australia, Europe, Canada, Mexico, South America and the Caribbean Islands.

Alamo is one of Vanguard Car Rental USA, which also includes National Car Rental is one.

In March 2007, Europcar Vanguard took over the European operations of the brands National Car Rental and Alamo Rent A Car.
