Alan A'Court

Alan A'Court ( born September 30, 1934 in Rainhill, Metropolitan Borough of St Helens, England; † December 14 2009 in Nantwich ) was an English football player and coach.

He denied 1957-1958 five caps for the English national football team, scoring one goal. In addition, he completed in about ten years for Liverpool 382 games in which he scored 63 hits.

Career

Alan A'Court was established in September 1952 by amateur club Prescot Cables bound for Liverpool, where he had previously rejected offers of Everton and Bolton Wanderers. Just six months later he made his debut against Middlesbrough FC in the first team. In the subsequent season, he already graduated sixteen appearances for Liverpool, but grew with his club in the Second Division from second-rate.

In Liverpool he was still first-team regular and was in the England team to his five internationals. His debut was A'Court initially in November 1957 against Northern Ireland and was even then - even though he was only active in the second division - called into the England squad for the World Cup 1958 in Sweden.

Offers for first-class clubs had A'Court then also sufficient, but his loyalty to Liverpool was ultimately rewarded by the re-emergence in 1962, he decisively jointly responsible as a regular player.
