Alattyán

Alattyán [ ɒlɒc ː a ː n] is a municipality on the western shore of the river Zagyva in Jász -Nagykun -Szolnok in Hungary.

Location

Alattyán located about 90 m above sea level, north of Szolnok and southeast of Jászberény. The village can be reached via the road 32.

Name

The name Alattyán can be derived from the Turkish personal name ALIP - Tiyan, which means ' heroic falcon '. Etymologically, the name is also associated with the Hungarian place names Alap and Alpár as the noun turul ( altung. ' hawk ').

The second part is more related to the Turkish word " Doğan ", which comes from the Old Turkic " Togan ," and also " hawk" means. " turul " itself is related to Turkish " Tuğrul " < atm. " toġrїl " = " hawk".

History

The village was first mentioned in 1212 Regestrum of Várad (Latin Regestrum Varadiense ) under the name Olaptiuã. At the end of the 14th century, the settlement of the property of the Kun family, later she came into the possession of Chyrke family.

In Alattyán an Avar cemetery was discovered.

In the 15th century the village was a Cuman settlement.

During the Turkish occupation the settlement was hardly damaged, but losses were greater in later wars recorded.

Around 1700 many Moravian settlers arrived in the community.

Alattyán and Jásztelek were united in 1977, since 1989, however, regained its independence.

The settlement is heavily agricultural. The most important company is the SEI Interconnect Products Ltd. ( GmbH) with 130 employees.
