Albany River

The Albany River is a river in the north of the Canadian province of Ontario.

It has its origin in the Lake St. Joseph. With its total length of 980 kilometers ( from the source of the Cat River) is the longest river in Ontario. His run leads first to the north. After he joins the Ogoki River, it flows in a northeasterly direction, and finally empties into the Indian Village Kashechewan First Nation in the James Bay. On the lower 400 km of the river is navigable in the summer. Its main tributaries are the River Cat, the Kenogami River, the Ogoki River and the Drowning River.

The headwaters of the Albany River is located in the Albany River Provincial Park.
