Albert Celades

Albert Celades López ( born September 29, 1975 in Barcelona, Catalonia ) is a former Spanish footballer on the position of midfielder. He most recently played for the New York Red Bulls in the top division in the North American Soccer, Major League Soccer (MLS ).

Career

Albert Celades is one of the few Spanish players who were at two major competitors, Real Madrid and FC Barcelona under contract. Raised in Andorra Celades came on four missions in the Spanish national team, and participated in the Football World Cup 1998 in France part.

Since August 2008, he was without a club since his contract with relegated Real Zaragoza was not renewed. He held his own fit and after a month-long trial he was taken at the New York Red Bulls in March 2009 under contract. On 24 October 2009 at the last season game against Toronto FC he officially ended his career after he had announced his retirement from professional football previously.
