Albert I, Lord of Mecklenburg

Albrecht I, Lord of Mecklenburg ( * after 1230; † 15 May or 17 May 1265 ) was from 1264 to 1265 Mr. ( prince) of Mecklenburg.

He was the son of John I and Luitgard of Henneberg (1210-1267), daughter of the Count Poppo VII of Henneberg. He ruled jointly with his brother Henry I.. Marrying a daughter of Nicholas I of Werle is not documented, as is the existence of children. Albrecht I was buried in Doberan.
