Alberto Natusch

Alberto Natusch Busch ( * May 23, 1933 in Riberalta, Bolivia, † 23 November 1994 in Santa Cruz de la Sierra ) was a Bolivian military in 1979 was President of Bolivia from 1st to November 16th.

Life

Alberto Natusch Busch was the nephew of Germán Busch Becerra Bolivian president. He hit a career as a professional officer. In the Cabinet of Hugo Banzer Suárez, he was from 1973 to 1978 Minister of Agriculture. In a bloody military coup, Col. Natusch Busch crashed on 1 November 1979, five months earlier by the Congress elected for one year President Walter Guevara Arze. The takeover met with resistance from the population, the Bolivian COB union federation called a general strike, and after only 15 days of the coup had failed. Natusch Busch withdrew from public life and died in 1994 in Santa Cruz.
