Alcanadre (river)

The (Río ) Alcanadre is a river in the Spanish province of Huesca. It rises in the Sierra de Galardón the Aragonese Pyrenees, flows through the Sierra de Guara and the Somontano and maps Pertusa a broad valley before it flows along the south of Sariñena on the northern edge of the Sierra de Alcubierre and finally joins up with Ballobar in the Cinca. Its main tributaries are the Rio Flumen and Guatizalema.

In Roman and Arab times spanned a large bridge at Pertusa the Alcanadre. After this and other bridges, Arabic Al- Qanatir, the river has its present name.
