Ballobar, Huesca

Ballobar ( Vallobar Aragonese ) is a municipality in the province of Huesca of the autonomous community of Aragon in Spain. It is located in the comarca of Bajo Cinca on the right bank of the River Alcanadre.

History

In 1212 King Peter II of Aragon gave the place to the monastery of Santa María de Sigena. 1268 sold King James I of Aragon the country town and castle Ballobar to the Countess Constanza of Urgel. James II of Aragon left the place in 1294 to William of Moncada.
