Castiello de Jaca

Castiello de Jaca is a city in the western Pyrenees on the edge of St James. It is located in the comarca in the province of Huesca Jacetania the Autonomous Community of Aragon and is the capital of the homonymous Municipality (Municipio ). At that neither it belongs aratores. The village was built on a hill, around the eponymous and now vanished castle, and has retained its medieval structure irregular. Attractions are

  • The Church of St. Michael ( San Miguel ), of Roman origin, but largely rebuilt,
  • The Romanesque hermitage of Santa Juliana at the southern end,
  • The church of Santa María de Iguacel from the 11th century.
