Almuniente

Almuniente ( Almunient Aragonese ) is a Spanish municipality in the comarca of Monegros the autonomous region of Aragon and of the province of Huesca.

Located on the Canal de Monegros community is about 37 square kilometers and has 538 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2013 ), which corresponds to a population density of 14 inhabitants.

History

In Almuniente died on September 7, 1134 Alfonso I, King of Aragon and Navarre.

Vilage

To Almuniente heard the 1958 train of internal colonization under the Franco regime newly populated Frula.
