Tardienta

Tardientaist a municipality in the province of Huesca in the autonomous community of Aragon in Spain. It lies on the Canal de Los Monegros in the comarca of Monegros in the Llanos de la Violada south of Huesca and has a station on the high-speed line Zaragoza - Huesca, branches off from the here the route to Lleida.

History

Tardienta to be inhabited since pre-Roman times. In 1118 the town was recaptured in the train of the Reconquista from the hands of the Moors. In the Middle Ages it belonged to the hamlet ( aldea ) to Almudévar. 1786, the title villa (country town ) was awarded Tarienta. In 1861, the connection to the railway network.
