Both have in common is the eponymous construction of a bridge at the instigation of a queen. This infrastructure projects articulated in times more expensive and dangerous river crossing the streams of pilgrims and often led to the establishment of a market town. This was facilitated by the fact that four crossed paths at Puente la Reina de Jaca

  • The street from Huesca,
  • The road from Pamplona,
  • The road over the Somport
  • And the road over the then significant Pyrenees crossing Puerto de Palo, west of the Somport.
