Abiego

Abiego is a Spanish municipality in the province of Huesca of the Autonomous Community of Aragon. It is located in the comarca of Somontano de Barbastro the river Alcanadre, about 35 kilometers east of Huesca. Parts of the municipality is part of the natural park Parque natural de la Sierra y los Cañones de Guara.

History

The place was called during the Moorish conquest of Al- Byego. A watchtower from this period has been preserved.
