Alcohol 120 % is a CD / DVD emulator with recorder function, which was developed by Alcohol Soft is sold exclusively with costs. Dealing with copyright protection technologies
Alcohol 120% and Alcohol 52 % with limitations also are able to bypass certain copy protection methods such as SecuROM and SafeDisc. Since programs with such skills in Germany may not be advertised or sold, there is only a German law adapted reduced functionality version available in department stores.
For legal reasons, the Alcohol programs can create neither backups nor virtual images of video DVDs, the content is encrypted with the Content Scramble System (CSS).
