Aldo Donati

Aldo Donati ( born September 29, 1910 in Budrio (BO), Italy, † unknown ) was an Italian football player.

Although he never played in his entire career one match for Italy, he could be world champion in 1938 with the Azzurri.

Career

Aldo Donati began his career with FC Bologna, for the 0-1 against Genoa, he celebrated his Serie A debut at the age of 19 years, on 25 May 1930. By 1934, the midfielder completed a few games for the Emilian club, 1934/35 Donati was a regular player. He then spent two years again usually only spare, but could each celebrate winning the Italian Championship under the Hungarian coach Arpad Weisz.

After eight years in Bologna, Aldo Donati moved to season 1937/38 to AS Roma. He immediately became a regular player and was appointed in early 1938 by national coach Vittorio Pozzo first time in the Italian national team. In the summer he was also part of the Italian squad for the World Cup in France and could, even if he did not play, celebrate winning the World Cup title with. 1941/42, won Donati with the Roma under the Hungary Alfréd Schaffer the third Scudetto in his career. To the Roman club this was the first title in the history of ever.

After he had to interrupt his career for two years because of the Second World War, Aldo Donati finished at the end of the season 1945/46, are active career at Inter Milan. Overall, he completed 203 Serie A games, scoring four goals. In the Italian national team, however, Donati never got to use one.
