Aleksandr Karatayev

Alexander Jewgenjewitsch Karatayev (often: Alexander Karataev, Russian Александр Евгеньевич Каратаев, English Aleksandr Yevgenyevich Karatayev; born November 22, 1973 in Taganrog, Soviet Union ) is a retired Russian football player and coach.

Career

Player

Karatayev began his career at second division Rostselmash Rostov. From 1990 to 1992 he played for first division club Spartak Moscow and in 1992 she won the championship and the club trophy. After one season at city rivals Lokomotiv Moscow he moved to Germany for Bundesliga club Bayern Munich. In the league, however, he did not play, only once in the second round of the DFB Cup with the second team. On October 27, 1993, he appeared as a substitute in the 3:4 defeat in a penalty shootout at home against Tennis Borussia Berlin in the 105th minute for Oliver Mayer web.

At the end of the 1993/94 season he returned to Russia, to put it another try in Germany in 1996. When 1 FSV Mainz 05, he played six times in the Bundesliga 2; for the first time on 13 September 1996 (6th Round ), in a 3-0 win at home to VfB Oldenburg when he came on in the 86th minute for Abderrahim Ouakili. His only second division game over 90 minutes, he played on 18 October 1996 (11th Round ) in the 4:5 defeat in the away match against SV Meppen.

In the following ten years he played primarily for various unterklassige Russian clubs. The end of 2000 he succeeded to the FK Khimki promotion to the second Russian league. After the 2001 season, in which he scored three goals in 19 league games, Karatayev moved to league rivals FK SKA Rostov, in which he, however, only five times was used. In 2006, he was active for the first division Ordabassy Kazakh Shymkent.

Coach

From 2009 to 2012, he coached the Russian third division (South) FC Mitos Novocherkassk, he was succeeded by Mikhail Kupriyanov.
