Alessandro Vanotti

Alessandro Vanotti (born 16 September 1980 in Bergamo ) is an Italian racing cyclist.

Alessandro Vanotti drove in 2002 already as a stagiaire for Colpack Astro, but could not recommend for a contract to. The next year he went again as a trainee, but this time got a professional contract for the following season at De Nardi. In 2005 he started at the Giro d' Italia for Domina Vacanze, where he was 16th stage from a breakaway group of third parties. In the same year he took part for the first time in the Tour de France, which he drove to the end. Since 2006 Vanotti riding for the German - Italian ProTour Team Milram. As of 2007, he will go for Liquigas at the start. His first stage victory he celebrated at the Settimana Ciclistica Lombarda.
