Alex English

Alexander English ( born January 5, 1954 in Columbia, South Carolina ) is a retired American professional basketball player who played in the NBA from 1976 to 1991. His height is 2.01 m. He played on the position of small forward for the Milwaukee Bucks ( 1976-78 ), Indiana Pacers ( 1978-80 ), Denver Nuggets ( 1980-90 ) and the Dallas Mavericks ( 1990-91 ).

Alex English was in the 1980s, the dominant players and is one of the best points scorer in NBA history. From its 25,613 points he scored 21 645 for the Denver Nuggets ( Nuggets all-time scoring leader ). His career stats are 21.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and 3.6 assists per game. He was eight -time All- Star (1982 - 1989), and threw himself with 28.4 points per game in the season 1982/83 even top scorer in the league. 1988 Alex English was also awarded the J. Walter Kennedy Citizenship Award for community involvement.

English was the president and (later) excessive interim CEO of the National Basketball Players Association players union.

1997 English was recorded for his career as a power player in the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.
