Denver Nuggets
The Denver Nuggets are a resident of Denver in the State of Colorado basketball team in the American professional league NBA. Despite the same name, but there is no connection to the original Denver Nuggets, who played in the 1949/50 season in the NBA. The Arena for home games of the franchise is the Pepsi Center in Denver.
History
The Nuggets in 1967 were founded under the name Denver Rockets as one of the founding members of the American Basketball Association ( ABA). Following the merger of the NBA and ABA, the team moved finally to the 1976/77 season in the NBA, having already made for the 1974/75 season was renamed the current name " Denver Nuggets ". This happened because there beside Denver still a team named Rockets, announced today the Houston Rockets. The biggest success of the team was the division title in the years 1977, 1978, 1985, 1988 and 2006. During the 80 years Denver was with Alex English and Kiki Vandeweghe as one of the fastest teams in the league. In addition, the coach Doug Moe 1988 Coach of the Year was. Under his aegis, the Nuggets were on their run and gun known.
On December 13, 1983 fell in a game between Denver and Detroit Pistons 370 points, Detroit went on to win by two points. 1984/85 reached the Nuggets the Conference Finals.

As the new head coach was introduced in June 2013 Brian Shaw. Shaw previously worked as an assistant coach for the Indiana Pacers.
