Northwest Division (NBA)
The Northwest Division is a division in the North American basketball league NBA, which is part of the Western Conference and includes five teams. The hometowns of teams in the Northwest Division is located in the north-west of the densely populated areas of the United States ( Oregon to Minnesota).
In the NBA, the introduction of the Northwest Division was made necessary by the enlargement of the League: At the start of the 2004-2005 season, there were too many in the Western Conference teams for only two divisions. The teams in the Pacific Division and the Midwest Division, which was dissolved as a result, were distributed to the Northwest Division and Southwest Division. In the Eastern Conference, the Southeast Division has been parallel imported.
