List of National Basketball Association career scoring leaders
This list shows an overview of the 89 NBA players with the most points scored in her career and all European players who scored at least 10,000 points in the NBA. This list reflects only points from games of the regular season. Games of the playoffs will not be considered.
- Place: Ranking in terms of the total number of points
- Name: Full Name of the player. The list is sorted by last name.
- Nat. ( Nationality ): The player's nationality.
- Pos (position): position in the game, the player mainly occupied (PG = Point Guard | SG = Shooting Guard | SF = Small Forward | PF = Power Forward | C = Center). Here multiple answers are possible.
- Team ( seasons): List of all NBA teams for which the player was active. In parentheses are the seasons are given.
- Results from the field: number of litters taken from the running game out. These include two- and three-point throws, but not free throws. This column contains the number of throws taken, not the points earned for that.
- Three-point throws: number of three-point throws made (introduced in the NBA in 1979 ).
- Free throws: number of free throws made .
- Points Total: sum of points scored by two- and three-point throws and free throws.
- ∅ points per game: Average points scored per game. Calculates divided by the total number of points scored by all games played. There is a mathematical rounding to one decimal place.
- Inclusion in the Basketball Hall of Fame: year of introduction into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame ( no earlier than the sixth year after the cessation of active career or after death of the player ).
