Jason Terry

Jason Eugene Terry ( born September 15, 1977 in Seattle, Washington ) is an American professional basketball player. He plays for the Sacramento Kings in the NBA.


His nickname comes from his initials Jet (Jason Eugene Terry ). He is a very safe shooter from beyond the three- point line, and was nominated several times for the three-point competition in the context of the All-Star games. On his chest he has tattooed the number 206, the telephone area code of his hometown of Seattle, and directly below that is a tattoo of the skyline of the city. Although Dallas Geeks only opportunities were granted prior to the start of the 2010/11 season, he allowed himself during a team meeting on 19 October 2010, the Larry O'Brien NBA Championship Trophy tattooed on his right bicep and this season could actually win the championship.

Terry grew up as one of ten children of Andrea Cheatham and Curtis Terry. His wife Johniyka and he have four daughters: Jasionna, Jalayah, Jaida and Jasa. He has the Jason Terry Foundation founded that offers both school athletic programs for young people in Seattle.

His cousin is Martell Webster of the Washington Wizards


Atlanta Hawks (1999-2004)

His career began in the 1999 NBA Draft, where he was pulled by the Atlanta Hawks in 10th place. After a mixed first season in which he was able to fight for a place in the starting line-up and in the NBA All - Rookie Second Team was appointed, he increased his average in his second season of 8 to nearly 20 points per game. This season, he put on his Career High of 46 points. Dallas Mavericks (2004-2012)

Terry became with the Dallas Mavericks one of the best Sixth Man of the League and reached with the Mavericks in the playoffs every year, twice even the final. In the 2005/06 season but the team lost to the Miami Heat. In the season 2010/11 season his team reached the NBA Finals once again and met as five years earlier, to the Miami Heat. But this time, Dallas was able to win 4-2, which Terry was the last decisive game 6 top scorer with 27 points. His best season statistically recorded Terry still in his time in Atlanta, but his most important role as Sixth Man was in the 2008 / 09 season, according to the NBA Sixth Man of the Year Award geehrt.In the playoffs Terry was an NBA playoff record achieved by transforming 9 Three points throws in a game in the fourth game against the Los Angeles Lakers. Boston Celtics (2012-2013)

After the season 2011/2012 Terry left the Mavs and signed with the Celtics a three-year contract. In his first season with the Celtics Terry scored an average of twelve points per game and was like in Dallas most of the bank. Against the New York Knicks eliminated the Celtics in the playoffs in 2013 in the first round.

Brooklyn Nets (2013-2014)

After the Draft Night 2013, the Celtics announced that Terry is transferred along with Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett to the Brooklyn Nets. In order for the Celtics open the way for a rebuilding team with younger players. In Brooklyn Terry will play under Head Coach Jason Kidd, with whom he won the championship together with the Dallas Mavericks in 2011. During the current season, Jason Terry was traded to the Sacramento Kings.

Sacramento Kings ( Since 2014)

The Nets, however, Terry was not convincing as hoped. Because of injuries, he missed large number of games. Shortly before the transfer deadline, the Nets were trading Terry finally to the Sacramento Kings. In return, guard Marcus Thornton moved to Brooklyn.
