Alex Rhodes (cyclist)

Alexis Rhodes ( born December 1, 1984 in Alice Springs) is an Australian racing driver who is active on rail and road.

Cycling career

2002 Alexis Rhodes Junior World Champion in the individual pursuit. In the following years she was several times on the podium at Nationals in Bahn as in road disciplines. In 2009 she won at the Ozeanienmeisterschaften the gold medal in the road race and individual time trial in 2010. At the 2010 Commonwealth Games in New Delhi, they finished fourth in the individual time trial.

2011 was Alexis Rhodes Australian Champion in the road race, finished fifth in the overall standings of the Tour of Qatar and third in the time trial at the Ozeanienmeisterschaften. In 2012 she won the national championship in the criterion.

Accident

On July 18, 2005 Alexis Rhodes was severely injured in a training ride for the Tour of Thuringia. A 18 -year-old rookie was driving down with her car head-on into their training group. Rhodes ' teammate Amy Gillett came in this accident, another driver, Louise Yaxley, also suffered serious injuries.
