Alex Teixeira ( born January 6, 1990 in Duque de Caxias ) is a Brazilian football player and started his professional career in 2008 with CR Vasco da Gama, where he has a contract until 2013, with a committed fee of 100 million R $ ( 39 million euros ).

His debut Alex at the age of eighteen. During the winter break of the season 2009/10 he spent six million euros to the Ukrainian club Shakhtar Donetsk.
