Alexa von Porembsky

Alexa von Porembsky, also of Alexa Poremsky ( born June 5, 1906 in Sopron, † August 18, 1981 in Berlin) was a Hungarian -born German actress.

Life

She took acting classes with Gertrud Eysoldt and made ​​her stage debut in 1925 as Köhler boy in a production of Cathy of Heilbronn at the Deutsches Theater in Berlin. She danced in revues and sang songs by Erik Charell Rudolf Nelson and Victor Hollaender. For the Art Nouveau artist Emil Orlik, she posed as a nude model.

From 1933 to 1944 she was part of the ensemble of folk stage. Since 1928, it was used in the film used. In supporting roles, she played a maid, market women, secretaries and neighbors. Until 1961 she appeared in 32 films.

After the war Alexa acted by Porembsky at the Hebbel Theater, from 1950 at the Renaissance Theatre and also worked as a voice actor. So she borrowed in the animated film Cinderella (1950 ) the figure Anastasia her voice. Your last major appearance was in 1978 with over 70 years in the television series Partly sunny. In 1981, she appeared on The case of Mauritius in three episodes as a cook in the TV series.

She was the mother of actress Nina of Porembsky.
