Alexander Billmeyer

Bill Alexander Meyer ( born January 7, 1841 in Liberty, Montour County, Pennsylvania, † May 24 1924 in Washington, Pennsylvania ) was an American politician. In the years 1902 and 1903 he represented the State of Pennsylvania in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Career

Alexander Billmeyer attended the common schools and worked in agriculture and in the timber industry. He was also active in the banking industry. He was a director of the National Bank in Washingtonville. Politically, he joined the Democratic Party.

After the death of Mr Rufus King Polk Bill Meyer was at the due election for the 17 seats of Pennsylvania as his successor in the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington DC chosen, where he took up his new mandate on 4 November 1902. Since he did not run in the regular congressional elections of 1902, he could only finish the current term in Congress until March 3, 1903.

After the end of his time in the U.S. House of Representatives Bill Alexander Meyer worked mainly in agriculture. He died on May 24, 1924 near Washingtonville.
