Alexander Dimitrenko

Alexander Dimitrenko ( born July 5, 1982 in Evpatoria in Crimea, Ukrainian SSR, Soviet Union ) is a German professional boxer of Ukrainian origin and former European champion in the heavyweight division.

Amateur career

As an amateur Dimitrenko won 57 of 65 fights (35 wins ahead of time). In 1998 he was Ukrainian youth champion and 2000 World Junior Champion in Budapest in the super heavyweight. He was Russian champion in the super heavyweight division in 2001 and the same year he became a professional.

Professional career

He was taken by Universum Box-Promotion under contract 2001. His pro debut he celebrated on 8 December 2001 against the Americans Marcus Johnson.
