Vaughn Bean

Vaughn Bean ( born September 3, 1974) is a former professional boxer in the weight class heavyweight.

He began his professional career in October 1992 at the age of 18 years. The small for a heavyweight Bean initially punched almost exclusively enemies with a negative balance of battle. In March 1997, he was nevertheless mandatory challenger for a title fight against IBF champion Michael Moorer. He lost only surprising just on points. After a few more wins against opponents he was average construction in September 1998, the WBA and IBF champ Evander Holyfield, who had defeated Moorer in unification fight challenge. He lost that fight clearly on points and went in the 10th round to the ground, but it dropped again better than expected by most journalists. Again he punched then only against average opponents. On 8 February 2002, he suffered then against Vitali Klitschko, the first premature defeat of his career, he lost by technical knockout ( TKO ) in round 11

This was followed by point defeats against Tony Thompson and Yanqui Diaz in 2004 and 2005 against controversial Dimitrenko; since that fight he is inactive.
