Alexander Gruszynski

Alexander A. Gruszynski ( born June 19, 1950 in Warsaw, Poland) is a Polish cinematographer and film director.

Life

Alexander Gruszynski was born the son of neurologist Dr. Zofia Gruszynski and a poet and author in Warsaw. After he graduated in the Warsaw Zamoyski high school, he moved with his mother, who got a job at the Copenhagen Panum Institute, to Denmark, where he studied Filmskole after his first degree at the University of Copenhagen, again camera at the Den Danske. And after he first worked autonomously with Your Neighbor 's Son documentation as a cameraman, he was already considered in 1978 for his first feature film work with the ary - Bodil.

Gruszynski emigrated in 1985 to the United States, where he spent several years working as a cameraman for Andrew Fleming, among others, and turned to him films like Lonely Zweisam Dreisamstadion, The Craft, Dick and The In-Laws.

Gruszynski is married to the American film producer Ellen Harper Collett since May 1990.
