Life

Alexander Nikuradse was the brother of Johann Nikuradse flow scientist. Alexander Nikuradse was sent by the Georgian government to Berlin to complete his studies there. Nikuradse remained in Berlin and received the German citizenship, after the Red Army had occupied Georgia in 1921. Nikuradse was a reliable opponent of Soviet rule in Georgia. He participated actively in the Georgian immigrant community and had close ties to the Nazi Party. Since their days together as migrants in Munich, in the early 1920s, he maintained a friendly relationship with Alfred Rosenberg, whose ideas about the Caucasus have been created in large part by Nikuradses influence.

He lobbied for an independent Georgia and campaigned for German support of the anti-Soviet Georgian emigration. Nikuradse was influenced by the geopolitical theories of Karl Haushofer, he planned the ambitious project of a German protectorate a Caucasian confederation in which the Georgians should play a leading role. From 1941 led Alexander Nikuradse the continental European research at the Reich Leader Rosenberg which was housed at the end of 1943 in the Upper Palatinate black box. The Institute was incorporated on 1 April 1947 by the Bavarian government under Hans Ehard with four posts and affiliated to the TH Munich. Until March 8, 1954 Nikuradses headed the Institute on black field. As of February 22, 1955 it was continued as Alexander Nikuradse private institute for the study of " atomic nucleus rays " and related research at a different location. As a physicist, he was mainly concerned with applied physics, in particular with the investigation of dielectric materials, and the theories of electrons and ions. End of the 1950s he worked for the Central Office for Aviation Documentation and Information ( ZLDI ) at the Institute of Electron and Ion Research, Munich Riem airport.
